ABOUT THE DIGITAL DICTIONARY OF MACEDONIAN LANGUAGE AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

The founder of IP Agency BERIN Ltd, Prof. D-r Gjorgji Filipov, had a speech on “digitalization and copyright” on 26.10.2016 within the Monthlty linguistic meetings “COLLOQUIA LINGUISTICA” organized by the Research Center for Areal Linguistics “Bozidar Vidoeski” in the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts (MANU). While Dipl. Eng. computer scientist and founder os SAM97, Shinasi Derebej, expounded on “Corpus of the Digital Dictionary of Macedonian Language”. Both lectures caused widespread discussion and comments among the attendants but most important was the initializting of the concept of uniting efforts to create a genuine, credible corpus of the Macedonian language with respect of the rights of the authors whose works are recorded as an integral part of the corpus. The digital dictionary is an important segment for recognazing the entity of the Macedonian people in the time digitalization. The resources, material and human resources available for creation of this work are small and their dispersion would be a demage. BERIN and SAM97 are thankful to MASA and Research Center for Areal Linguistics “Bozidar Vidoeski” and as well to the academican Luan Starova for their support in organazing the lectures.
